Samee U. Khan  




Samee U. Khan is a Program Director at the National Science Foundation, where he is responsible for the Smart & Autonomous Systems program, Critical Resilient Interdependent Infrastructure Systems and Processes program, and Computer Systems Research cluster.

He also is a faculty at the North Dakota State University.

He is an ACM Distinguished Speaker, an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, a Fellow of the IET, and a Fellow of the BCS.
Samee's research interests include optimization, robustness, and security of computer systems.

His work appears in over 350 publications with an h-index of 41 and an i10-index of 142.

He maintains the GreenCloud simulator and the CloudNetSim++ simulator.

Some example funded projects that he has worked on include: NSF GARDE, S&T CO2, NSF MRI, FNR GreenIT, and FNR TITAN.

He is an associate editor of the IEEE Access, IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, IET Wireless Sensor Systems, Scalable Computing and Communications, IET Cyber-Physical Systems, and IEEE IT Pro.

He is also on the advisory board of the IET Book Series on Big Data.

Samee is Chair of the Steering Committee of the IEEE Technical Area in Green Computing, Vice Communication Chair of the IEEE Special Technical Community on Sustainable Computing, a member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing, a member of the IEEE Technical Committee on Cyber-Physical Cloud Systems, and a member of the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Cybermatics.
