Samee U. Khan




Samee U. Khan is the Cluster Lead for the Computer Systems Research at the National Science Foundation. He also is a faculty at the NDSU.

His research interests include optimization, robustness, and security of computer systems.

His work appears in 400+ publications (h-index = 55; i10-index = 177; 11,400+ citations).

He has graduated 15 PhD and 5 MS students. One postdoctoral researcher and over 40 undergraduate research students also worked with him on various projects.

He is an ACM Distinguished Speaker, an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, and a Fellow of the IET and the BCS.

He is an associate editor of the JPDC, CSUR, Access, CST, WSS, CPS, and IT Pro.

He maintains GreenCloud, CloudNetSim++, and FogNetSim++ simulators.

He is also on the advisory board of the Book Series on Big Data.

Samee is Chair of the Steering Committee of the IEEE Technical Area in Green Computing, Vice Communication Chair of the IEEE Special Technical Community on Sustainable Computing, a member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing, a member of the IEEE Technical Committee on Cyber-Physical Cloud Systems, and a member of the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Cybermatics.
